Dr Rosen and the team at South Derm are amazing. I’ve only been going for a short time and have had two laser treatments for acne scarring, but the results I’ve seen already are mind-blowing. My skin looks so much better and I feel far more confident. Dr Rosen is honest, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about his patients. The level of care and attention he provides is exceptional. I couldn’t recommend this clinic more highly.

I had an exceptional experience at South Derm Kogarah and cannot recommend the clinic highly enough. I was initially referred by my GP for assessment of a cyst on my scalp. I called the clinic in the morning and was incredibly grateful to be offered a cancellation appointment later that same afternoon — which already set a very positive tone. From the moment I arrived, the clinic staff were welcoming, professional, and efficient. The assistant nurse was absolutely lovely — calm, reassuring, and very attentive throughout the entire appointment. She made me feel comfortable and well cared for from start to finish, which makes such a difference in a clinical setting. Dr Rosie Liu was right on time, extremely polite, and incredibly thorough. She took the time to explain everything clearly, answered all of my questions without rushing, and made me feel genuinely listened to. In addition to assessing and excising the cyst, she also helped me with my eczema and discussed alternative treatment options rather than immediately relying on topical steroids, which I really appreciated. The cyst excision itself was completely painless and very smooth. Dr Liu’s skill and gentle approach were obvious, and I felt at ease throughout the entire procedure. The level of care, professionalism, and attention to detail from both Dr Liu and the nursing staff was outstanding. Overall, this was a 10/10 experience. The clinic is well-run, organised, and patient-focused, and the care I received exceeded my expectations. I would confidently recommend Dr Rosie Liu and the team at South Derm Kogarah to anyone looking for high-quality dermatological care.

I was hesitant to visit this practice due to the low reviews, but glad I didn't listen to them. The practice has over 10 doctors, 6 receptionists and was packed with patients when I arrived and throughout the entire time I was there. Dr Joseph was fantastic, she knew what the problem was immediately and how to solve it and gave great advice. If half the people that were there gave a review, the rating would be dramatically different on this practice. Only negative was that the Dr was running half an hour late but they did ring to warn me to come later.

Firstly, I want to make clear that I tried to give the clinic this feedback directly but when I called and asked to speak to a manager I was told to put it in an email to the general admin address. What started as a routine check up ended with me standing at the reception desk in floods of tears with stitches in my nose from an unexpected biopsy, another in my leg. The staff do not appear to have had any Mental Health First Aid training, much less compassion, because no-one asked if I was OK or so much as offered me a tissue. The bill was $600 and the only thing the receptionist said to me was “you got a discount for the second biopsy”. The biopsy itself has left me with a divot in my nose. I asked the dermatologist before the biopsy if I would be better going to a plastic surgeon and she said the result would be the same, it’s only two stitches. Earlier in the year, I had a skin graft (from my cheek) on the end of my nose that involved 20 stitches and today the scars are invisible so I believe I would in fact have been better off going to the plastic surgeon. The dermatologist behaved in a grumpy manner towards me because, at the beginning of the appointment, I let her know that the receptionist had insisted I arrive on time for the appointment so I rushed from an important event only to wait in the waiting room for 25 minutes. I spoke calmly and just wanted her to know what had happened to help improve communication/scheduling for her clients. Working in a customer service role myself, I know that such feedback is golden and would be grateful to the customer who shared it. As it was, she snapped at me that she gave all her clients the attention they needed. She then performed the biopsy but, no sooner had the last stitch gone in, rushed out of the room barely saying goodbye and I was left with the nurse to help me sit up and recover. The whole experience took less than 15 minutes so I was in a bit of shock. There doesn’t appear to be much regard for the mental health of clients or respect for their time at SouthDerm and I will be seeking an alternative for future check ups.

Waited 3 months for an appointment as they were supposed to be the best..Definitely not, the doctor I saw gave me approximately 10 minutes of her time, didn't even really check my condition wrote me a script for antibiotics the same as my doctor had put me on, even though I told her I had already been on them for 3 months, also wrote me a script for some very expensive cream and charged me $350..the cream that I was prescribed was making the condition worse instead of better and after persevering for 3 weeks I rang the clinic for advice and was told to send an email which I did simply asking should I continue with the cream or change to another one, simple question I would think, but no I was told I would have to make another appointment and pay another $350, for what? I don't think so..Disgusting they can take your money with no care whatsoever for the patient, Disgraceful..
