Absolutely amazing, I have always had issues with my neck and shoulders, healer Mosman found the root of the issue, I feel so relieved. The massage was the perfect strength, because I train a lot I needed a strong massage and my muscles now feel so relaxed. I attended a massage here after an acute lower back injury. I explained to the owner of the business (who did the “massage”) that I needed a remedial massage to loosen up the muscle which were in a spasm as I had an important meeting afew days later. When she started the massage it was very strong, she was using her knuckles to force into the spaces in between my spine and ribs. I questioned the force of the massage and she lectured me. She said the reason I am not used to this sort of strength is because I do not do remedial massage enough. The reason I have an injury is because I am too stiff. If I don’t do the massage strong I cannot get into the 4cm depth required for a remedial massage. She then put both her knees up on the back of my ham strings. I told her I am not used to this pressure on my legs and it was hurting. The grimacing and flinching from this caused a sharp pain in my lower back from it compensating. I again questioned her approach and said you are a 10 and I need you at a 5. She again said it’s not worth doing a remedial massage if it is not strong. She is an expert and needs to trust me after 20 years and special accreditations. She then got a scorching hot stone and roughly forced it on my entire back. After 40 minutes of pure pain I ended the massage. She said you will feel pain for 4 days and then it will be ok. I explained to her at the start the whole reason I was there is to loosen up the area as I had an important meeting afew days later. Before the massage I even clarified with chatGPT what a remedial massage was as it was my first time. - It’s often used to help manage or rehabilitate injuries, relieve pain, and improve range of motion. Basically, the therapist will assess what’s going on with your muscles and then use techniques like deep tissue massage, stretching, and other targeted methods to address specific issues. It’s pretty tailored to what your body needs. The massage therapist demonstrated no duty of care instead debated why remedial massage is best after my pain complaints. A week later, I am worse than when I had this massage, I have an MRI next week and have had to cancel diving in Cairns. My physio said this would have definitely exacerbated the injury. If you have an injury stay away from this business. Judging from the other reviews which led me there in the first place. I’m sure if you are injury free and you like a 10/10 rough massage this may be the place for you. In my case not listening to a client was wreckless.
